Ultimate Babe: Bruce Campbell

I'm going to start out this short week with a hunky fav of mine: Bruce Campbell! It's true, he's kind of goofy, he's a little cheesy and he's a B movie star but he's also a fox, makes excellent faces, and a cult hero! Evil Dead fans anyone? Oh, and don't forget his glorious CHIN!

I love love love him! He's a little older now but still totally awesome. His head got kind of big but it mostly maintained its shape and I think he's still got it!

It's Friday I'm In Love!

Is it too soon to feel nostalgic about the OC?

I loooove this show. I haven't seen it since it came out but I'm thinking I might want to re-watch it soon. Remember how good the music was in it?

Have a great 3 day weekend! Any fun plans? I'm taking a little road trip to Hearst Castle! I'm also going to do a little wine tasting while I am there.

Girl Crush: Katharine Hepburn

TGI Thursday!! Though I wish it were Friday.... I have some eye candy for you all this morning. I probably could have posted 100 pictures of Katharine Hepburn for this post and never gotten bored. I just love looking at her face. It's not just that she's beuatiful it's that she's such an incredible actress and such a delight to watch on screen. Her face holds so much drama and wit. The camera loves it and so do I. Enjoy.

My favorite Katharine Hepburn movie so far is Philidelphia Story. It's one of my favorite movies in fact! What's your favorite KH flick? I also want to say that Katharine has amazing hair. I wish it were in style again. Oh, to be glamourous...

Charley Harper Love

I just wanted to showcase one of my favorite artists today: Charley Harper! He isn't super well known but I think he is getting a little more recognition lately. I share his love of nature and animals and I really enjoy the strong element of design in his work. He did an amazing series of posters for the National Park Service that I just love... I pretty much love it all!

Isn't his work grand? You can now buy some of it in the form of a puzzle! It makes for a great gift and it is delightfully challanging! Its' a really fun way to enjoy his art because you notice all the little details that you may have missed if you hadn't spent X amount of hours trying to put the pieces together. I hope the make more of them.

Anne Of Green Gables Inspired Wardrobe

If you like this post, read my interview on how to get the 'Green Gables' look! Also, here's an update on how to get the Anne look in 2012! Double also here's my ongoing pinboard for Anne style clothes!
******
I have another good one for you this morning! Are there any Anne of Green Gables fans out there? I am so excited to show you my collection of Anne of Green Gables inspired clothing! If you haven't read the books or watched the mini series I highly recomend it.

It's hard not to fall in love with Anne and her Green Gables. I have been in love with this story since I was a little girl. As I have gotten older, I have had a lot of fun exposing my friends to it. I used to have a housemate who, after watching the mini series, would always call out across the thrift store to me, "THIS IS SO GREEN GABLES!" and hold up an a weird dress with puff sleeves while we were shopping together. Anne's fashion is pretty dated as you can see! (The story takes place in the late 1800's). For this reason, I was a little hesitant to try and make an Anne inspired collection but I think I was able to stay true to the tone and still come up with some wearable styles. I hope you agree!

You can scroll through all the items in the collection using the arrows on the bar above. I would love to have feedback from some Anne fans. Is it 'Green Gables'? Would you wear this style? I for one love the boots and the hats.

Summer Wedding Guest Looks

Summer is near and that means a lot of weddings are under way. Last year I did some posts on wedding party attire but this year I think I will focus on the guests! I love it when wedding guests go all out with their outfits. Of course, no one wants to out do the bride but when guests show up looking great (in my opinion) it just enhances the whole experience and sets such a good vibe for the wedding in general.

Summer Wedding Guest Look #1

Summer Wedding Guest Look #1 by SillyHeart featuring sequin cocktail dresses

This first look is a little glamorous and is probably best for wedding events that take place in the evening. I love the draped shimmer of this dress! I recommend balancing the silver with some pinks... sort of a balance of warm and cools to keep the whole look edgy but still romantic.

This next look balances between a day and night look and could be worn for either. I love this peach and sage green together! I think the green brings some excitement to the neutrality of the peach and would make for a lovely wedding outfit. The best part is that it would be easy to coordinate with your dates outfit, just have him wear a sage colored tie!

Another color combo I am loving! I think this pale blue and bubble gum pink look so cute together. I paired this look with a white clutch to avoid looking matchy-matchy. This is another balance of warm and cool colors that works well for makeup. I think it's a super fun look for a wedding that's flirty but not scene stealing.

This last look is monochromatic but the color is gold so I thought it would be okay. I love this dress. Ruffles are so delicate and feminine and the color is lovely. I think it's a really nice toned down look for a wedding with the perfect amount of glitz! You could easily wear this to an evening wedding or during the day. This might be a good Bridesmaid outfit also if you are planning a wedding... in fact any of these would be pretty awesome for bridesmaids. By the way have you seen that movie yet (Bridesmaids)? It's super funny you should definitely check it out!

It's Friday I'm In Love!

Happy Friday! I thought I'd throw a little Green Gables your way as a teaser for my upcoming Anne of Green Gables inspired wardrobe collection. Thanks Bekah for your suggestion! Look for it next week.

Have a lovely weekend everyone!

2011 Cannes Favorites

I thought I'd wrap up the week with my favorite red carpet looks from the Cannes Film Festival. You already saw my absolute favorite look last week and I could have probably just put up a picture of Fan Bingbing for everyday that she attended but I limited myself to just one more from her. Enjoy!

It's good to see Gwen stepping it up again. She used to be my ultimate fashion icon but then she got a little tame for my taste. I am loooving her hair and that jumpsuit!
